In Canada we have made headway with support forums for transvaginal mesh harmed patients. We continue to get little to no help with finding skilled surgeons to completely remove this type of mesh. Many petitions have gone out to make reporting of mesh complications mandatory. Health Canada seems to be a lost cause with reviewing the acceptance of TVT meshes as a "gold standard treatment. 50 emails to Ministers of Parliament were sent with one reply to take concerns to my own MP. I believe there are 2 law firms with class action lawsuits underway, and I have no number for individual laws suits other than over 70 women with individual lawsuits at the law firm where I have legal representation. A few women have been allowed cross border insurance covered surgeries in a few provinces.
